Artists Statement

Shadee SelimMy work is a visual expression based on an order which controls the macrocosm and this order is represented in all forms which are represented in the microcosm visible to  the naked eyes or not.

The order is the invisible law, and only by mathematics and geometry can this essence be represented.

The invisible law governs every element. This result is a world which is not a reflection of the actual object, but that of the superimposed element that serves to transcend the momentary and limited individual appearance in my work, drawing it into the greater and solely valid realm of infinite and continuous being. As an artist I’m interested in mathematic as a human’s way to discover the law of nature .A concept only has meaning within a context. What does ‘above’ mean if there is no ‘below’? What does ‘left’ mean if there is no ‘right’? What does ‘behind’ mean if there is no ‘in front’?
